Union Minister Kiren Rijiju allegedly fell for a fake video of a Pakistani politician claiming that their people are in the Indian Parliament. Based on that morphed video, Kiren Rijiju on Saturday, in a post on X, wrote, "Why did a Pakistani politician say, 'Our people are sitting in India's Parliament'?"
Responding to the Union Minister's post, TMC MP Saket Gokhale took a jibe at him and said, "Rijiju ji trusts what a Pakistani politician says."
"But the Opposition should ignore Trump when he says he brokered a ceasefire. For Modi's minister, a Pakistani politician is MORE credible than the US President," he added.
"Perhaps that's what he meant by 'our people in India's Parliament'," Gokhale said.
Congress leader Pawan Khera criticised the Union Minister for his post and said, "Looks like Kiren Rijiju is auditioning for Amit Malviya's job. Since yesterday, he has been parroting claims based on an AI-morphed video pushed by a low-IQ BJP IT cell member."
Khera alleged that "The truth is - Rijiju fell for the fake video of a Pakistani politician claiming that their people are in the Indian Parliament only because he knows that S Jaishankar informed Pakistan before Operation Sindoor, and Rajnath Singh ji admitted to calling them for a ceasefire 30 minutes after it began."

"I reminded him of this yesterday as well. So, he deleted his tweet then but shamelessly posted it again. It's pathetic that a 'Minister' can't tell a real video from an obvious fake. Such sub-zero IQ is only appropriate for the IT cell, and now perhaps for Modi's cabinet too," he added.
