Pastor Bajinder Singh of 'Glory and Wisdom' church in Tajpur village, who is facing charges of sexual harassment, defended himself on Sunday after an FIR was registered against him and said, "Allegations made against me are false and baseless."
On the issue, he addressed a press conference and said that the chats presented by complainants were fake.
According to reports, a sexual harassment case has been registered against the pastor in Punjab's Jalandhar district.
The woman complainant claimed that she started visiting the Church in 2017. After some time, Bajinder took her number and started texting her. She said that she couldn't reveal the conversations to anyone because she was afraid of him.
She further alleged that the pastor made her sit alone in a cabin in the church on Sundays and molested her.
Singh has a strong presence on social media with a huge followers list. His popularity gained after memes were made about him. He has shared several pictures with Bollywood actors and politicians as well.
According to reports, Bajinder Singh has been booked under sections 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
