New Delhi: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR on Thursday. As per the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the quake of magnitude 4.4 on the Richter Scale struck Haryana's Jhajhar at a depth of 10 km.
Due to this earthquake, strong tremors were felt in Delhi and other National Capital Region (NCR), including Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram. The earthquake hit at around 9:04 am.
After the tremors, residents ran out of their houses in panic. "The tremors felt quite strong...I was at a shop when it hit, it felt as if someone was shaking the shop," a man in Ghaziabad told ANI.
"I felt the tremors...It was a little scary. We should be mindful of safety when this happens," a Delhi resdent told the news agency.
Several videos of fans and other household items swaying due to the earthquake tremors also surfaced online.
No injuries were reported due to the quake.
