Haridwar: A horrifying video of a stray dog attack surfaced from Uttarakhand's Haridwar. A pack of stray dogs mauled a girl in the Kasaban locality of Haridwar’s Jwalapur, Republic TV. The horrific incident was caught on the CCTV installed in the area. The video of the stray dog attack surfaced online on Monday, March 24.
In the video, the girl could be seen walking along the Sheikh Wali Gali when she was surrounded by a pack of four to five stray dogs, the media house reported. Unfortunately, when the girl started to run away she got tripped. Dogs pounced on her. Hearing the girl's screams, locals came out of their homes.

They rescued the girls from the dogs. The locals chased away the dogs. The girl reportedly sustained severe injuries due to dog bites. She was immediately taken to a hospital. Panic gripped the locals after the incident.

There has been outrage among locals of the area due to the growing stray dog menace. They demanded immediate action from the municipal corporation.
Alwar Incident:
A similar incident took place in Rajasthan's Alwar earlier this month, where a college student was attacked by eight to 10 stray dogs in the GK Nagar Colony of Alwar city. The entire incident was captured on CCTV installed in the area and the video is doing rounds on social media. The girl was attacked when she was walking outside her house while talking on the phone. She was later rescued.
