BJP's Rekha Gupta took the oath for the post of Delhi chief minister on Thursday (February 20). With this, she became the fourth woman chief minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj, Shiela Dikshit and Atishi. Amid the fanfare of a woman again being at the helm of Delhi government, controversial aspects about Rekha Gupta have begun to surface as well.

The language and insinuations made by Gupta are under scanner. Screenshots of these past posts are doing rounds on social media.

A post on X (formerly Twitter) allegedly through her account was on CM Kejriwal and his mother is being widely shared by social media users.

Another post appears to say," Delhi is not your father's property. It belongs to the people, and the people will send you back to your mother's womb..."

These words are followed by an expletive.

In must be noted that both of these posts aren't visible now and a search leads to a page on X that says 'Sorry that post has been deleted'.

Journalist Sagarika Ghose too, raised questions on Rekha Gupta's past tweets as well. On X, Ghose said that Gupta was 'far cry' from former Delhi CM Shiela Dikshit who she said was 'hard working and gracious'.

There wasn't any immediate reaction or clarification from Gupta on the reactions on her past social media posts.
