New Delhi: A Delhi-Kolkata Air India Flight aborted take Off Run after the pilot Applied Brakes At 155 kilometer pre hour on Monday after a technical issue was detected during the take-off-roll. The flight was carrying 160 passengers.The flight was subsequently halted for mandatory safety checks.

"Flight AI2403 operating from Delhi to Kolkata on 21 July 2025 has been rescheduled to depart later this evening, necessitated by a technical issue detected during the take-off roll. The cockpit crew decided to discontinue the take-off, following Standard Operating Procedures," an Air India spokesperson was quoted saying by news agency ANI.

The airline further said, "All passengers have disembarked and our ground colleagues in Delhi are extending support to them."

Hard Landing Of Kochi-Mumbai Flight

Operations at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) shifted to the secondary runway on Monday morning after a hard landing by Air India flight AI-2744 from Kochi caused minor cracks on the primary runway. A few pictures showed some damage to the aircraft following the incident.

The incident occurred at 09:27 AM, when the aircraft reportedly made a hard touchdown during heavy rainfall, leading to a runway excursion. Emergency response teams at the airport were immediately deployed.

9 Show-Cause Notice Issued In Six Months

A total of nine show-cause notices have been issued to Air India in connection to five identified safety violations in the last six months, the civil aviation ministry informed the Rajya Sabha on Monday.
