Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are locked in an interesting game online. Both parties are coming up with memes, posters and spoof videos to take a dig at each other ahead of Delhi Assembly Elections. On Monday (January 13), BJP posted an image that showed AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal in the attire of 'Mogambo', the iconic villain from the movie Mr India. In the post, BJP has claimed that Arvind Kejriwal has insulted people of Purvanchal region.

Less than half an hour after that, AAP posted a spoof video showing Amrish Puri (same actor who played Mogambo) telling Amit Shah that BJP will not win a single seat in the upcoming elections.

Voting for Delhi Elections is set to take place on February 5, 2025. AAP is looking to retain its near-absolute grip on the Delhi assembly while BJP is eager to gain at least some control.

Currently, there are 58 AAP MLAs in 70-seat Delhi Assembly. BJP has 7 while 5 seats are vacant. Congress, which ruled Delhi for more than a decade before AAP's emergence, has drawn blank in last two assembly elections.

BJP and AAP, widely seen as major players in the elections, have been sparring online for a while. Earlier, BJP mocked Arvind Kejriwal as 'chunavi Hindu' suggesting that Kejriwal declared benefit schemes for temple priests and Gurdwara granthis just for electoral gains.

AAP countered this jab by saying Union Minister Amit Shah was a 'chunavi Musalmaan' alleging that BJP remembers Muslims only when elections are near.
