New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) will announce the schedule for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 today. The Delhi polls for 70 constituencies will be held in a single phase. Chief Election Commissioner has begun the press briefing.
The elections will witness a high-octane electoral battle between the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP). The Congress, which failed to open its account in the previous two Delhi polls, is likely to increase its vote share this time around.

Election Commission's Notice:
The AAP will be trying to retain the power for the third consecutive time, while the saffron party is eyeing to gain control of the national capital territory (NCT).
The AAP is accusing the BJP of manipulating the voter list to its advantage. On the other side, the saffron party and the Congress levelled corruption allegations against Kejriwal and his party. The BJP alleged that the AAP is supporting Rohingya's to gain electoral advantage. Even the Congress leaders alleged that the Kejriwal-led party was using money to influence voters.
The Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 are likely to take place in February this year. On Monday, the Delhi Election Commission released the voter list ahead of the polls.
There are over 1.53 crore people on the list. Out of the total voters, around 83 lakh are male voters and over 70 lakh are female voters. Notably, voters whose names are not on the list cannot cast their votes. The list was released amid the ongoing war of words between the AAP and the BJP.
In the 2020 polls, the AAP registered a landslide victory for the second consecutive time by winning 62 seats, while the BJP managed to bag only eight. The Congress again failed to open its account in Delhi in 2020.
