In the run-up to the Delhi Assembly Elections next year, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday announced the names of 20 candidates in its second list.

The ruling party in Delhi had released its first list on November 21, announcing the names of candidates for 11 seats.

In AAP's second list, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been declared the candidate from the Jangpura seat, while Avadh Ojha, a recent inductee into the party, has been given the ticket for the Patparganj seat.

The AAP has changed Manish Sisodia's constituency. Sisodia, who won the last three elections from the Patparganj constituency in northern Delhi, will now contest from a South Delhi's Jangpura seat. Patparganj, known for hosting numerous UPSC coaching centers, will see a new candidate, Avadh Ojha, a renowned educator and owner of a prominent UPSC coaching institute. AAP’s decision to field Ojha appears to leverage his popularity among UPSC aspirants and educators to the party’s advantage.

According to AAP's second list, Dinesh Bhardwaj will contest from the Narela seat, and Surender Pal Singh Bittu has been given the ticket for Timarpur. Mukesh Goel has been fielded from the Adarsh Nagar seat, while Jasbir Karala will contest the election from the Mundka seat.

Rakesh Jatav Dharamrakshak will contest from Mangolpuri, and Pradeep Mittal has been announced as the party candidate for Rohini.

Punardeep Singh Sawhney has been made the candidate for Chandni Chowk. Parvesh Ratan, Rakhi Bidlan, Pravin Kumar, Surendra Bharadwaj, Joginder Solanki, and Manish Sisodia have been given tickets for Patel Nagar, Madipur, Janakpuri, Bijwasan, Palam, and Jangpura, respectively.

Prem Kumar Chauhan, Anjana Parcha, Avadh Ojha, Vikas Bagga, Naveen Choudhary, Padamshri Jitender Singh Shunty, and Adil Ahmad Khan will contest from Deoli, Trilokpuri, Patparganj, Krishna Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Shahdara, and Mustafabad, respectively.

In the AAP's first list of 11 candidates, six turncoat leaders were made candidates for upcoming Assembly elections.
