Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Monday released the full poll manifesto for the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. Kejriwal announced 15 new poll guarantees aprt from six "old revadis".
"Today, we are releasing 'Kejriwal Ki Guarantee' for Delhi Assembly elections. 'Kejriwal Ki Guarantee' means surety.," the AAP supremo said. As per the manifesto, the AAP promised jobs for youth, free treatment for elderly people and 'Mahila Samman Yojna'.
The ruling party in Delhi also promised free bus travel for students and a 50 per cent concession in metro fares. Kejriwal also announced Dr Ambedkar scholarship for Dalit students who wanted to study abroad if voted to power again.
Kejriwal's Announcing AAP Manifesto:
During his address, the former Delhi CM assured to clean Yamuna river. Kejriwal blamed alleged that his party failed to fulfil the promise of cleaning the holy river due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 and the arrest of AAP's ministers, including Satyender Jain and Manish Sisodia.
Here Are AAP's 15 Guarantees:
- "Robust" job creation for Delhi residents
- Under the Mahila Samman Yojana, assures monthly financial support of Rs 2,100 for women.
- For senior citizens, the Sanjeevani Yojana will provide free healthcare facilities.
- To waive outstanding "hiked" water bills.
- Round-the-clock supply of clean drinking water to every household in Delhi.
- To clean the polluted Yamuna River
- To Make Delhi's roads world-class.
- Under the Babasaheb Ambedkar Scholarship Yojana, the AAP has pledged scholarships for SC and ST students to study abroad.
- Free bus rides and a 50 per cent discount on metro fares for students.
- AAP has committed to improving Delhi's sewage system.
- Issuing ration cards to those left out of the system.
- Offering financial support to auto and cab drivers. The AAP also promised Rs one lakh for their daughters' weddings and Rs 10 lakh insurance coverage.
- Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) will also receive funds to hire security guards and address local safety concerns.
- Rs 18,000 monthly financial aid to priests and Gurudwara Granthis
- Extension of free electricity and water benefits to tenants.
- Kejriwal also emphasised that the AAP's existing free welfare schemes, which provide benefits worth approximately Rs 25,000 per month to Delhi residents, would continue if the party retains power.
Kejriwal alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) made fake promises in its "Sankalp Patra". "They (BJP) call their promises 'Sankalp Patra' or something else and everyone knows that their promises are fake. PM Modi (in 2014) had promised to give Rs 15 lakh... during an interview after few years," Kejriwal said.
"Amit Shah said it was all 'chunavi jumla'. Whatever the BJP, Congress and other parties announce during elections are just chunavi jumla," he added.
Delhi Assembly Election Schedule:
The assembly elections in Delhi are scheduled to take place in a single phase on February 5. The votes will be counted on February 8 and on the same day results will be declared.
