The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) released the schedule for the Asia Cup 2025 on Saturday. According to the schedule, India will take on Pakistan on 14 September in Dubai.

Following the release of the official schedule, a call for boycotting Pakistan in the cricketing arena has intensified in the country. A large section of people, politicians, and other celebrities have expressed that India should not play against Pakistan owing to the Pahalgam terror attack in which Pakistan-based terrorists killed 25 Indians and a foreign national.

Responding to the ACC's fixture, Shiv Sena UBT MP Priyanka Chaturvedi on Sunday slammed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), saying "this is not just blood money that you'll seek to earn but also cursed money."

Taking to X, Priyanka Chaturvedi wrote, "'Blockbuster Fixture: India vs Pakistan scheduled for 14 September 2025 with potential rematches during Super Four and Final.' When money is more important than the blood of our fellow Indians and our men in uniform. Shame on the GoI for being hypocritical about Operation Sindoor. And dear BCCI—this is not just blood money that you'll seek to earn but also cursed money."

Joining Priyanka Chaturvedi in her call against the India vs Pakistan match, EaseMyTrip founder Nishant Pitti said, "When national sentiment is clear, commercial interests and sporting opportunities must take a backseat."

Responding to Priyanka's X post, Nishant wrote, "I don't believe Indian players would participate and certainly not with Indian brands sponsoring any match involving Pakistan. When national sentiment is clear, commercial interests and sporting opportunities must take a backseat. We stood firm in #WCL2025 by stepping away, and that decision still speaks louder than any scoreboard. Also, there is no official communication from the BCCI about the same."
