New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a woman head constable of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) posted at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport allegedly died by suicide on Friday, March 7, inside a washroom at Terminal 3 of the airport, according to news agency ANI.

The constable reportedly used her service pistol to end her life. Authorities were alerted after the incident came to light, and a forensic team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) visited the scene to collect evidence.

Delhi Police confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the spot. The body has since been moved to Safdarjung Hospital, where a post-mortem examination is being conducted to determine further details surrounding the death.

The reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained, and further investigations are underway to uncover the circumstances that led to this unfortunate incident.
