These Naxalites surrendered to Sukma SP and DIG of CRPF. The step is part of the ongoing campaign and dialogue with the security forces, which has decided to return to the mainstream by changing the stream of their existence.

During the Bastar Pandum program of Dantewada, Union Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to the Naxalites to return to the mainstream. Now the effect of the appeal was seen in Sukma, where so many Naxalites put up arms together.

Union Minister Amit Shah on Friday in a tweet said, "Security forces in Chhattisgarh have achieved major success against Naxalism. In separate operations carried out in Bijapur district, Cobra commandos and the state police arrested 22 wanted Naxalites. These arrests also led to the recovery of modern weapons and explosive materials, dealing a serious blow to Naxal activities in the region."

He says, "In another positive development, 11 Naxalites surrendered in Badesetti Panchayat of Sukma district. With this, Badesetti has now been declared completely Naxal-free — a significant milestone in the government's mission to restore peace and normalcy in affected areas.

I urge all remaining Naxalites still in hiding to come forward and take advantage of the Modi government's surrender and rehabilitation policy. Join the mainstream and contribute to building a peaceful society. We are fully committed to ending Naxalism by 31 March 2026 and creating a safer future for all."
