A disabled operator of a Common Service Centre (CSC) has been arrested for sexually exploiting young girls. The accused had allegedly been committing these crimes for years without arousing suspicion in the local community. He would record videos of the abuse and upload them to websites. The perpetrator reportedly lured minor girls with sweets and chocolates before sexually assaulting them, then blackmailed them using the recorded footage, as per reports.

The CBI conducted the arrest following a covert, long-term operation involving detailed scrutiny of the suspect's digital activities, email accounts, social media presence and electronic devices. The arrested individual has been identified as Somanath (40), a resident of Narnaund in Hisar district.

The case came to light when international agencies flagged the suspect's suspicious online activities. Certain clips and photos linked to Interpol's ICSE database and Google's cyber tip line reports reached Indian investigative agencies. Subsequently, with authorisation from the Home Ministry, the CBI launched an extensive probe through the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre. Digital forensic tools helped trace the videos' location to Hisar district in Haryana.
All devices seized from the accused contained substantial amounts of child sexual abuse material, with many videos recorded by the perpetrator himself. He had been systematically blackmailing the victims, none of whom had reported the abuse to their families over several years.
Villagers remain in shock, noting that 40-year-old Somanath was born with disabilities affecting both legs and has limited mobility. Despite his physical condition, the manner in which he executed these crimes has left the community stunned. The unmarried suspect lived alone prior to his arrest.
