Patna: AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday launched a blistering attack on Pakistan by calling it a failed state, ridiculed General Asim Munir, and its hollow military posturing.
Addressing a public meeting at Bahadurganj in Muslim-dominated Kishanganj district of Bihar`s Seemanchal region, Owaisi said terrorists coming from across the border killed tourists in Jammu and Kashmir`s Pahalgam by asking them to disclose their religion.
All those present at the public meeting also observed a one-minute silence to pay tributes to tourists killed in Pahalgam attack.
AIMIM chief said, “Whatever has happened in Pahalgam is heartbreaking, extremely unfortunate, saddening, and also against humanity. We strongly condemn the terror attack. No outsider can kill our people on our soil. For the last several years, Pakistani terrorists have been killing innocent civilians. We are firmly behind the present dispensation and hope that the Prime Minister will take firm action against terrorists. We are with any decision the government takes in this connection.”
“I want to tell Pakistan Army chief Asim Munir that we have already decided in 1947 that we will not leave India at any cost. We had rejected Jinnah`s message. Pakistan is a failed state,” he remarked.
“We want to tell those who are speaking nonsense that you do not understand 'Islam'. You are in a country where people are suffering due to poverty. You have conflicts with Afghanistan. You have conflicts with Iran", he remarked while referring to Pakistan.
While making an oblique reference to a retired Bangladeshi Major General ALM Fazlur Rahman (retd), AIMIM chief said, “I want to tell the gentleman who is speaking nonsense that his country was created because of us.” Rahman had appealed to his government to occupy India's northeastern region if Delhi goes to war with Islamabad.
The AIMIM chief also launched a blistering attack on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and his party for Owaisi`s four MLAs switching over to the RJD after the 2020 assembly polls and asserted that his party would register victory on 24 seats in coming state polls.
Without naming Tejashwi and his party, the AIMIM leader said that the Seemanchal region would teach a lesson to these deserters and also to the party, responsible for ‘stealing’ his MLAs. AIMIM had won five seats in the last assembly election but four MLAs crossed over to the RJD later.
