In a shocking incident highlighting the apathy on roads during VVIP movements, an ambulance with a patient inside it and a crying relative was stopped and made to wait as Bihar CM Nitish Kumar's convoy was passing in Patna claimed an X (Twitter) user. The entire incident was recorded on camera and shared on social media. Shockingly, one of the persons in the video is also seen laughing while talking about the incident on camera.
A video that captured the incident on camera also recorded onlookers and people standing at the edge of the road to witness the massive VVIP convoy passing by in front of them.
In another such incident of VVIP culture prevalent in Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, RJD supremo and whose party is part of the ruling alliance in Bihar, visited his paternal house in Gopalganj on Tuesday (August 22). However, during the visit, an IPS officer was seen holding the umbrella for Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Netizens shared the video and said that the sight of the IPS officer holding an umbrella was not something that should have happened as Lalu Yadav is out on jail and has been convicted in the Fodder Scam Case. X or Twitter users were also livid about the fact that though Lalu was accorded this sort of treatment as it isn't part of any protocol.
The reactions by users also mentioned the deteriorating law and order situation in Bihar over the recent killings and cases of crime in the state. The video of an ambulance carrying a patient stopped during Nitish's convoy and Lalu accorded VVIP treatment did not go down well with netizens in the backdrop of the recent crime cases.
