BIG Breakthrough For Punjab Police! Shehnaz Singh, International Drug Lord On FBI's Most Wanted List, Arrested In Tarn Taran

In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police on Monday arrested international drug lord Shehnaz Singh, also known as Shawn Bhinder. Singh is also on the most wanted list of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Singh was arrested in Tarn Taran district of Punjab.

Tarn Taran: In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police on Monday arrested international drug lord Shehnaz Singh, also known as Shawn Bhinder. Singh is also on the most wanted list of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Singh was arrested in Tarn Taran district of Punjab.

As per the Punjab Police, Singh was a key player in a global narcotics syndicate, smuggling cocaine from Colombia into the United States and Canada. "In a major breakthrough, @TarnTaranPolice arrests Big Fish Shehnaz Singh @ Shawn Bhinder, a transnational drug lord wanted by the #FBI-#USA," Punjab Director General DGP) Gaurav Sharma said in an X post.

The Punjab Police launched an operation to arrest the drug lord after four of its associates were arrested in the US on February 26 this year. These arrested people have been identified as Amritpal Singh (Amrit Bal), Amritpal Singh (Cheema), Takdir Singh, Sarbsit Singh and Fernando Valladares.

After the arrest of the associates, Shehnaz absconded to India. "During their arrests, USA authorities seized 391 Kg Methamphetamine, 109 Kg Cocaine, and four firearms from their residences and vehicles. After the crackdown, Shehnaz absconded to #India, where #PunjabPolice successfully tracked and arrested him," the Punjab Police DGP said in the X Post.

This operation is a testament to @PunjabPoliceInd 's zero-tolerance approach to drug trafficking and organized crime. We remain committed to working with international law enforcement agencies to ensure that #Punjab is not a safe haven for drug smugglers and criminals," he added.
