Jaunpur (UP): The tragic suicide of 34-year-old Atul Subhash has ignited widespread outrage, with new video evidence surfacing online. The footage shows Subhash's mother-in-law and brother-in-law, threatening media personnel at their residence in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur.

Video Shows Arrogant Kins Of Subhash's Wife

In the video, the duo can be seen scolding journalists for filming them while attempting to conceal their faces. The brother-in-law is heard saying, "Bhaisahab galat ho jayega" (Something wrong will happen) in a threatening tone.

When asked for their side of the story, the mother-son duo clarified that they would answer everyone through their lawyer. They insisted that they would respond through legal channels, saying, "Jaake pata kijiye court mein kya hai maamla."

4 Booked Over Suicide Including Deceased's Wife

Meanwhile, Subhash's death led to the filing of an FIR against his wife, Nikita Singhania, her mother, brother and uncle, on charges of harassment, extortion, and corruption. The FIR, lodged by Subhash's brother Bikas Kumar at Marathahalli police station in Bengaluru, includes allegations under sections 108 (abetment of suicide) and 3(5) (joint criminal liability) of the BNS Act.

The complaint revealed that Subhash married Nikita in 2019, and the couple had a son. However, their relationship soured, leading to a divorce. The family of Nikita allegedly demanded Rs 3 crore for a settlement and Rs 30 lakh to allow Subhash visitation rights to his son. Subhash reportedly faced persistent mental and physical harassment, driving him to take his life.

Allegations include nine cases filed against Subhash by his wife, ranging from murder and sexual misconduct to domestic violence and dowry harassment.

Details On The Tragic Suicide

Police investigations revealed that Subhash was found hanging in his locked Bengaluru apartment on Monday morning. Officers discovered a 24-page suicide note and a video recording in which Subhash detailed his grievances. In the note, he accused his wife, her family members, a judge from a Jaunpur family court, and a court officer of harassment and corruption. Subhash claimed the judge ignored his pleas, while the officer openly accepted bribes.

Subhash's suicide note contained a message for his estranged four-year-old son and called for his parents to gain custody of the child. He urged his family not to immerse his ashes until justice is served. The note and video were sent to an NGO WhatsApp group with which Subhash was associated.
