Bengaluru Braces For Heavy Rainfall; IMD Issues Orange Alert For June 27

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rainfall with cloudy skies on Friday. The minimum and maximum temperatures are set to range around 20 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Bengaluru: Bengaluruians have been enjoying cool weather over the past few days. The city is set to experience heavy rainfall on June 26, 2025. Cloudy skies are also expected in the city, which is expected to remain the same throughout the day.

The city woke up at 05: 55 AM. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 20 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively. The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06: 49 PM. The residents will not get respite from humidity and it is likely to be around 80 per cent.

KSNDMC shared a weather report on X

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote, "Scattered to moderate and scattered heavy to very heavy rains with gusty winds today and heavy rains tomorrow in coastal and hilly districts of the state."

Rainfall is predicted in these regions

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall on Friday in coastal and it's adjoining regions. Whereas, a yellow alert has been issued in North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Scattered heavy rainfall is predicted in isolated regions of the state. The rainfall is likely to be accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, and it is likely to continue for the next three to four days, said IMD.

Weather forecast for the next five days

June 28: A cloudy sky is predicted for Saturday.

June 29: An overcast sky is anticipated for Sunday.

June 30: Scattered rainfall is predicted in some parts of Karnataka.

July 1: A cloudy sky is anticipated on Tuesday.

July 2: Partly cloudy skies are expected on Wednesday and it is likely to remain the same throughout the day.
