Bengaluru Weather Forecast: City To Experience Light To Moderate Rainfall; IMD Issues Orange Alert For Upcoming Days

Bengaluru: Karnataka's capital city is set to experience light to moderate rainfall on August 4, 2025. Cloudy skies are also expected in the city, which is expected to remain the same throughout the day. The city woke up at 06: 06 AM. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 21 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively. The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06: 46 PM. The weather department said that rain and cloudy skies will keep the temperatures mild and pleasant in the city.

KSNDMC shared a weather report on X

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote, "Moderate to heavy rains are likely to occur at isolated places in coastal and Malnad districts along with strong winds across the state, with the heaviest rains expected from August 5 to 7. Light to moderate rains are likely to occur at isolated places in interior districts."

A yellow alert has been issued in these regions

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the rainfall is likely to be accompanied by strong surface winds, thunderstorms, and lightning. Light to moderate rainfall is predicted in isolated areas of North Interior Karnataka, coastal regions, and South Interior Karnataka. The weather department predicted a yellow alert for these regions, and the rainfall is likely to be accompanied by strong surface winds.

IMD advisory

Humidity levels may hover around 91 per cent, making the air feel damp, especially after rainfall. If you plan to step out, it's advisable to carry an umbrella or raincoat, as sudden rain showers are common. The weather department also advised residents and fishermen to avoid venturing into the sea or water bodies.

An orange alert has been issued for the upcoming days

The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to be around 20 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively. Cloudy skies are predicted with heavy rainfall on Tuesday. The weather department has issued an orange alert for the upcoming days.
