The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted light to moderate rainfall in numerous regions of Karnataka on Monday, May 19, 2025. Partly cloudy skies are also expected, and it will remain the same throughout the day. The minimum and maximum temperatures are set to range around 22 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Bengaluru: The Silicon Valley Of India is set to experience light to moderate rainfall on Monday, May 19, 2025. The city woke up at 05: 53 AM with cloudy skies this morning and it is likely to remain the same throughout the day.

The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 22 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively. The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06:39 PM. The residents will not get respite from the humidity and it is likely to be around 93 per cent. The wind is expected to blow from the west.

A yellow alert has been issued in the state

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in the city and other 22 districts of Karnataka till May 22, 2025. The city received showers on Sunday, and residents got a respite from the heatwave.

KSNDMC shared a weather report on X

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote, "Scattered to widespread moderate rain with thunder and lightning in coastal districts and heavy rain at isolated places across the state, in southern interior districts today and tomorrow, in northern interior districts from May 19 to 22 @KarnatakaVarthe #KSNDMC."

Cyclone in the Bay of Bengal is impacting Bengaluru's weather

The weather department said that Bengaluru's weather is being influenced by cyclonic activity over the Southeast Bay of Bengal. According to the IMD, the cyclone in the Bay of Bengal has triggered widespread rainfall in the state. The weather department has asked residents to take precautions amid unstable weather conditions.

Weather forecast for upcoming days

May 20: Scattered showers with thunderstorms are expected in the city and surrounding areas. The skies are predicted to be cloudy.

May 21: Light rain is forecasted for Wednesday with a partly cloudy sky. The humidity is also expected to be high at 91 per cent.
