Bengaluru Weather Forecast: Heavy Rainfall Is Predicted Till July 18; IMD Issues Yellow Alert

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rainfall with cloudy skies on Tuesday. The minimum and maximum temperatures are set to range around 21 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Bengaluru: The residents of the city have been enjoying cool weather over the past few days. The city is set to experience heavy rainfall on July 15, 2025. Cloudy skies are also expected in the city which is expected to remain the same throughout the day. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in some regions of Karnataka.

The city woke up at 06: 01 AM. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 21 degrees Celsius to 27 degrees Celsius, respectively. The city is expected to witness sunset at 06: 50 PM. The weather department said that rain and cloudy skies will keep the temperatures mild and pleasant in the city.

KSNDMC shared a weather report on X

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote,

"Scattered to widespread moderate rainfall is likely in the coastal and Malnad districts of the state, with isolated heavy rainfall and very heavy rainfall expected from July 16 to 18. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in the interior districts."

Rainfall is predicted in these regions

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in coastal areas, North Interior Karnataka, and South Interior Karnataka. The weather department predicted moderate to heavy rainfall and it is likely to be accompanied by strong surface winds. Scattered heavy rainfall is predicted in isolated regions of the state. The rainfall is likely to be accompanied by gusty winds.

IMD advisory

Humidity levels may hover around 70-85 per cent, making the air feel damp, especially after rainfall. If you plan to step out, it's advisable to carry an umbrella or raincoat, as sudden rain showers are common. Wearing light cotton clothes will help in dealing with humidity.
