Former CM of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot has once again alleged that central ministers Amit Shah, Dharmendra Pradhan and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat conspired to topple his government, which was foiled.
“Ours was the only government in India which they could not topple. They changed governments in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, but failed in Rajasthan. These people distributed money within our party. I have proof of this. Is it in accordance with the Constitution,” alleged Gehlot while talking to the media in Jodhpur on Thursday.
Referring to alleged horse-trading, the former Chief Minister said that one cannot imagine how much money would have been distributed to buy MLAs in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. Some are saying 25 crores, some are talking about 35 crores and some are talking about 50 crores. How will democracy survive?
Accepting imposing Emergency as a mistake, Gehlot said, “Emergency was imposed, some mistakes were made, Congress apologized. We got punished, our party could not form the government, Indira ji herself lost the election, but she came back in just in two years. There must be some reason of her getting back to power with full majority.”

However, he added that people also praise it, there was so much discipline, people used to go to office on time.
Earlier, he claimed that a terrible conspiracy is being hatched within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to remove present CM Bhajan Lal Sharma.
“Right now his party people have started working against him, in Delhi as well as in Rajasthan. A terrible conspiracy is going on to remove him, he is not able to understand,” claimed Gehlot on Wednesday.
Gehlot said that Sharma should be retained because a young leader has got a chance for the first time, and he has directly become the Chief Minister, which is quite significant.
