A BJP MP was reportedly injured in a 'scuffle' media reports said erupted during separate protests organised by MPs of BJP and INDIA bloc. BJP MP Pratap Chandra Sarangi blamed Lok Sabha Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi for his injuries.
"Rahul Gandhi pushed an MP who fell on me after which I fell down...I was standing near the stairs when Rahul Gandhi came and pushed an MP who then fell on me..." he said.
Meanwhile, reports surfaced of another BJP MP Mukesh Rajput being seriously injured and having been admitted to ICU of Ram Manohar Lohia Hopsital in Delhi. ANI reported about Rajput getting injured.
Rahul Gandhi Says BJP MPs Threatened Him
Immediately after Sarangi's claims, Rahul Gandhi appeared to refute allegations and in turn said that BJP MPs were threatening him and preventing him from entering the parliament.
BJP leaders were quick to take to social media to protest what they claimed was aggression by Congress.
The controversy started after Amit Shah's reference to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and lashing out at Congress. Shah said previously that it had become a 'fashion' for Congress to take Ambedkar's name.
"If they had taken the name of God so many times instead of Ambedkar then they would have got heaven for seven lives," Shah said.
