Hyderabad (Telangana): A Hyderabad court on Monday granted bail to six individuals accused of storming Telugu actor Allu Arjun's residence in Jubilee Hills and damaging property. The accused, claiming to be members of Osmania University's Joint Action Committee (JAC), allegedly attempted to forcibly enter the actor’s house.

Video footage of the incident showed the group storming the actor's house, destroying flower pots and throwing tomatoes at the property. They mounted the compound wall with placards, raising slogans, which led to an altercation with Allu Arjun’s security staff. The actor was not at home during the incident.

They demanded Rs 1 crore in compensation for the family of Revathi, a 35-year-old woman who died during a stampede at a cinema hall on December 4, where the actor had attended the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule.

During the court hearing, police presented the accused before the judge, who granted bail on the condition that each furnish Rs 10,000 and two sureties within three days, as per reports.

BRS Alleges Accused Links With Revanth Reddy

Among the accused was Reddy Srinivas, whom BRS leader Krishank alleged is a 'close aide' of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Krishank criticised the misuse of OUJAC, stating, "Using it for violence and blackmail is disgusting." He further claimed Srinivas had contested as a Congress candidate in the 2019 ZPTC elections, sharing photos linking him to the Chief Minister.

Revanth Reddy condemned the attack and directed authorities to take strict action. Meanwhile, Allu Arjun had previously urged his fans to avoid abusive behaviour, both online and offline, amid growing allegations linking him to the stampede at Sandhya Theatre.

The tragic stampede that took place on December 4 left Revathi dead and her eight-year-old son injured, who is currently being treated at a private hospital. The Hyderabad Police then arrested Allu Arjun for his alleged involvement in the stampede but granted him interim bail on the same day. A case was registered against him, his security team and the theatre management under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
