Air France flight AF750, which was set to travel from Paris Orly (ORY) to Pointe-a-Pitre (PTP), carrying a total of 375 passengers, the event occurred on March 21 after a passenger said they lost their mobile phone. The 4,199-mile journey over the Atlantic was conducted by a 17-year-old Boeing 777-300ER bearing the registration code F-GSQX.
The scheduled flight departed from Paris at 12:01 PM and ascended to an altitude of 32,000 feet. The 777 soared over France and then over the English Channel. However, shortly after takeoff, a passenger was said to have lost their phone. In spite of the diligent attempts made by passengers and crew, the phone remained unretrieved.

Air France mentioned that maintenance crews were searching for the lost phone so a new departure could occur; however, the airline has not explained why the missing device warranted such a substantial reaction.
