Bollywood actress Daisy Shah has hit back at trolls who criticised her for using social media to promote animal welfare. In a strongly-worded Instagram story shared on Wednesday (July 16), the Jai Ho actress clarified that her intent is to use her platform for a good cause, not to seek attention or validation.
Responding to those accusing her of 'showing off', Daisy wrote, "Dear people, it is a conscious effort to make sure to use my social media in a positive way. i.e. if 1 share can help a fur baby find a forever home... I will do it. All of them who think that this is a show off... go get yourselves treated first... because your brain is sick."
Lashing out at trolls, she further wrote, "I don't need to put on a filter just to look humble or helpful... also don't need to prove to anybody the kind of person I am. I appreciate the concern... but stop (DMing) dictating me about how to live my life. I ain't chasing the world's validation. I am unapologetically me."

The actress, who is known for her love for animals and often amplifies pet adoption campaigns, made it clear that she will continue using her platform for positive efforts despite the negativity.
On Wednesday, Daisy also shared a video of a dog's adoption request and wrote, "What a sweet little angel this one is I always wanted to have a brown indie female. I think they are some other level of cuties Please help share and find the best home for this one."

Recently, there were rumours that she will be seen as a contestant in Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 19, however, she rubbished the reports and said that she probably will never participate in the controversial reality show.
