The dating scandal involving South Korean superstar Kim Soo Hyun and late actress Kim Sae-ron keeps getting murkier by the day, and in the latest development, messages sent by the latter to the former hinting at a breakup have gone viral. This comes days after Soo Hyun admitted that he dated Sae-ron for a year, but not when she was a minor.
The Youtube channel Garasero, that has been representing Sae-ron's case online, went live on April 2 and released screenshots of chats allegedly between the late actress and Soo Hyun. In the chats, Sae-ron can be seen complaining how the Queen Of Tears star reaches out to her only when he feels like talking to her and ghosts her otherwise.
"Oppa, when you miss me and need me, you keep in touch with me without a problem, but when I need you, you’re always MIA. It bothers me that I can’t get in contact with you, and it’s inconvenient. If you don’t put in the effort, then I’m not seeing you anymore," Sae-ron allegedly texted Soo Hyun, hinting that she wanted to breakup with him.
Garasero claimed that the conversation dates back to April 13, 2018, when Sae-ron was a minor, and argued that the exchange does not look like it came from someone who was just a friend.
Soo Hyun's agency is yet to react to the screenshots.
Meanwhile, Soo Hyun has filed a 12 million won (Rs 77 crore) defamation suit against Sae-ron's family and Garasero for tarnishing his image and trying to paint him as a pedophile and murderer.
On March 31, Soo Hyun addressed the controversy himself publically for the first time and while at it, he broke down and cried inconsolably in front of the media. "For everyone who still believes in me, I want to make this one thing clear. I won’t ask you to trust me, I will prove it to you," he said.
