Actor Naga Chaitanya, who tied the knot with actress Sobhita Dhulipala in December 2024, opened up about his divorce with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In one of his latest interviews, Naga Chaitanya said he is not happy that his separation with Samantha has become a 'topic of gossip.' The actors' announced their divorce in 2021.

During an interaction with Raw Talks With VK podcast, the actor stated that he fails to understand why his divorce is matter of discussion even after four years.

Urging people to respect their privacy, Naga Chaitanya reportedly said, "We wanted to go our own ways. For our own reasons, we have taken this decision, and we respect each other. We are moving on in our lives, in our own way. What more explanation is needed, I don’t understand. I’m hoping the audience and media will respect that. We have asked for privacy. Please respect us and give us privacy on this matter. But, unfortunately, it is a headline. It became a topic of gossip. It became entertainment."

The 38-year-old actor said that divorce is a 'sensitive' topic for him since he is 'a child from a broken family', adding that he and Samantha decided to part ways after much thought.

"It’s not like it’s only happening in my life, so why am I treated like a criminal?" asked the actor.

The couple tied the knot on December 4, 2024, at Naga Chaitanya's family-owned Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad after dating for several years. They got engaged in August 2024.

On finding love again, the Laal Singh Chaddha actor said, "I’ve moved on with so much grace. She has moved on with so much grace. We are leading our own lives. I have found love again. I am so happy, and we have so much respect for each other."
