South superstar Nagarjuna announced his younger son Akhil Akkineni's engagement to artist Zainab Ravdjee on Tuesday (November 26). Akhil and Zainab's engagement comes just days before the wedding of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, which is all set to take place in Hyderabad on December 4.
Nagarjuna shared a picture of Akhil and Zainab and penned a heartfelt note to welcome his daughter-in-law-to-be into their family. Akhil also took to his official Instagram account to shared a series of romantic pictures with Zainab.
"Found my forever ♾️Happy to announce that Zainab Ravdjee and I are happily engaged," he captioned his post.
Who is Zainab Ravdjee?
Zainab is the daughter of industrialist Zulfi Ravdjee, who is known to be a pioneer in the construction industry. Her brother, Zain Ravdjee, is the Chairman and Managing Director of Hyderabad's ZR Renewable Energy Pvt Ltd.
Media reports have stated that Zainab is an artist who is known for her abstract and impressionistic paintings. She also organises exhibitions. Her work reflects themes of nature, balance, and cultural influences.
According to media reports, Zainab is 39 years old. She was born and brought up in Hyderabad. Akhil and Zainab have an age gap of nine years as Akhil is 30 years old presently.
Zainab has a private Instagram account which has 54.5K followers. Actor Rana Daggubati follows her.
She reportedly met Akhil a couple of years ago and they instantly feel in love with each other.
Opening up about Akhil's engagement, Nagarjuna reportedly said, "As a father, it brings me immense joy to see Akhil take this significant step in his life with Zainab, someone who complements him beautifully. Zainab’s grace, warmth, and artistic spirit have truly made her a wonderful addition to our family."
He added, "We are overjoyed and look forward to celebrating this new journey with both families."
