Actress Aneet Padda is the newest sensation of Bollywood, as her film, Saiyaara, co-starring Ahaan Panday, has wrecked havoc in theatres. The film has taken the box office by storm, and one of the main reasons is the impactful and heartbreaking performances by both Aneet and Ahaan.

Ahead of the film's release on July 18, the major chunk of attention was on Ahaan, given he is the nephew of Chunky Panday and the cousin of Ananya Panday. But after the release of Saiyaara, it is Aneet who has been grabbing eyeballs, courtesy her nuanced performance in the romantic saga.

Who is Aneet Padda?

Aneet made her acting debut with Kajol, Vishal Jethwa and Priyamani's Salaam Venky. In the film, which released in 2022, Aneet played the role of Nandini.

In 2024, she starred in Nithya Mehra's web series Big Girls Don't Cry where she played the role of Roohi Ahuja.

Aneet is 22 years old, and Saiyaara marks her big screen debut as the lead of a film. The actress is currently basking in the success of the film, and she is being touted as the next big thing in Bollywood.

Saiyaara box office response

Meanwhile, Saiyaara has already been declared a hit at the box office, as it opened with Rs 21 crore, beating the first day collections of major like Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2, and Ajay Devgn's Raid 2, among others.

Ahaan and Aneet, who had stayed away from the limelight before the release of Saiyaara, seem to be over the moon, and Saiyaara also marks one of the biggest openings for a film led by newcomers, at a time when the audience has not been so kind to star kids.

Theatres have turned to concerts with videos of people singing and dancing to the film's songs emerging on social media. The audience can also be seen having a meltdown seeing the heartbreaking romantic saga on the silver screens, and with a strong word of mouth, Saiyaara is expected to zoom past the Rs 100 crore mark even before the end of its first week.
