South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun's alleged messages to late actress Kim Sae Ron have been leaked online amid ongoing controversy over their rumoured relationship. Previously, intimate texts from the Queen of Tears actor, in which he allegedly asked Kim Sae Ron for hugs and kisses, had also surfaced.
According to a report in Koreaboo, Bu Ji Seok, the legal representative of Kim Sae Ron's bereaved family, held a press conference in Seoul recently, where he unveiled text messages exchanged between the actress and Kim Soo Hyun in June 2016.
He also claimed that these messages served as evidence of a romantic relationship between the two when Kim Sae Ron was still a minor.
In the alleged chat, the actor asked Kin Sae Ron how long it would take for her to allow him to be physically intimate with her. For those unversed, Kim Soo Hyun's representatives previously claimed that the actors' relationship began only after she reached the legal age. However, at the time of these messages, Kim Sae Ron was just 17 years old.

Soon after the chats surfaced on social media, a section of users claimed that the screenshots are edited/photoshopped.
What is the controversy?
Kim Soo Hyun has found himself entangled in multiple allegations following Kim Sae Ron's death. The late actress' family claimed in a video that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were in a relationship from 2015 to 2021 - starting when she was a minor.
Reportedly, they further alleged that despite her financial struggles after her 2022 DUI incident, Kim Soo Hyun pressured her to repay a loan of 700 million KRW (approximately Rs 45,321,936) that she had taken to cover the accident's settlement.
However, Kim Soo Hyun's representatives denied the allegations, clarifying that he was never in a relationship with Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor and that he never demanded repayment of the debt. His agency also stated that the entire loan amount had been written off and that they had never requested any form of reimbursement.
Kim Sae-ron died by suicide at her Seoul residence on February 16 and Kim Soo Hyun has been at the receiving end of severe backlash in the aftermath of her passing. Recently, locals were spotted tearing down his posters and hoardings that were propped up across South Korea. He also lost several brand deals and endorsements.
Besides, the cancellation of his fan meet, his upcoming show, Knock Off, also got shelved by Disney+ Hotstar. It was slated for premiere in April this year.
