Actor Gurucharan Singh, best known for playing the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, shared his health update with fans after getting hospitalised. A day after the auspicious occasion of Guru Gobind Singh Jayanti, Gurucharan shared an emotional video from his hospital bed.
In the heartfelt message, Gurucharan wished his followers and expressed gratitude, saying that God had blessed him with a new life.
While he did not reveal the cause of his hospitalisation, he stated in the video that his health deteriorated recently. "Haalat bahot zyada kharab ho gayi hai," he said.
"On the occasion of Gurpurab, Guru Sahib Ji blessed me with a new life 🙏. Infinite and unlimited thanks to Guru Sahib Ji. I also express heartfelt gratitude and respect to all of you, because of Guru Sahib Ji's grace, I am alive and standing before you today. 🙏 Thank you to everyone 🙏. Rab Rakha 🙏 and may Waheguru continue to shower His blessings," the actor captioned his post.
Soon after he shared the video, his fans and followers wished him a speedy recovery in the comments section.
"Praying for yr happy health... sodhi sir," a fan commented under his video. Another user wrote, "Mai aap hi ka episode dekh rha hu 😢 Bo pet mai kanck wala episode or aap episode mai bhi hospital bed mai h 😢 or Reel mai bhi 🙌 Get well soon."
Gurucharan rose to fame with his stint in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma. He made headlines after his alleged disappearance in April 2024 Gurucharan, who came back after 25 days of his disappearance, stated, that he was on a 'spirtual trip' alone.
After he returned to Mumbai, he spoke to a few media portals about his disappearance and how he has been having a hard time for the past few years. In a conversation with Siddharth Kanan, the TMKOC actor had also revealed that he has been surviving on bread and milk and is currently under a debt of Rs 1.2 crore.
He had also stated back then that he has been looking for work and that it has been more than a month since he is back but is not getting any work.
Gurucharan was replaced by Balvinder Singh Suri in the show.
