It has only been a few days since the second season of the globally-acclaimed K-drama, Squid Game, released on OTT, and after the initial excitement died down, fans have now spotted a major goof up in one of the most important scenes of the show.
Eagle-eyed netizens spotted that in the seventh episode of Squid Game 2, a cameraman was visibly lurking in the background with his camera shooting the scene from a different angle. The editors of the show might have missed spotting the person in the background, but fans of the show didn't.
The cameraman can be faintly seen in the scene wherein (SPOILERS AHEAD!) Gi-hun and his gang attack the guards at the facility where the deadly games were held in a bid to take their weapons and ambush the main control room, all in a bid to put an end to the game.
The clip showing the cameraman has now gone viral on the internet and has sparked a memefest. “Someone is getting fired from the Squid Games team after one of the cameramen was spotted in the background mid episode,” a user wrote on X, while another joked, “Squid game got exposed!”
Meanwhile, after a successful second season, Squid Game is now gearing up for the third and final season of the show. While the makers are yet to officially announce the date, Netflix Korea accidentally revealed that Squid Game season 3 will drop on June 27, 2025, when they posted a video on their social media handles.
Actor Lee Jung-jae reprised his role of Seong Gi-hun in Squid Game season 2, while Lee Byung-hun returned as The Frontman, who is also Player No 001 in the second season. Wi Ha-jun returned as the cop Hwang Jun-Ho.
The new cast in the second season comprises of Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Sung-hoon, Lee Seo-hwan, Jo Yuri, Choi Seung-hyun, and others, and while some of the faces will appear in season 3 as well, it will see some new faces too.
