Singer Sonu Nigam recently captivated the audience with his performance at a concert in Kolkata on February 9. However, he lost his cool during the show as the crowd repeatedly interrupted his performance by standing up instead of sitting in the chairs provided to them. Frustrated by the interruptions, Sonu stated that if the crowd wished to stand, they should go "stand" for elections.
The video was shared by a fan, who was present at the concert. In it, Sonu was heard saying, "Agar tum ko khada hona hi hain, election mein khade ho jaao yaar! Please bithao. Jaldi karo… itna time jaa raha hain mera maalum hain? Apka cut off time aa jayega phir, baithao! Jaldi baitho! Baitho! Bahar niklo! Make this space empty."

In the comments section, several netizens lauded Sonu; however, they slammed the organisers for their poor management. A user commented, "He actually had to manage the crowd and security himself. Because the management was so poor. Reading lots of reports on the internet about it."
Another comment read, "This is so sad, he had to himself manage the crowd, bad management by Bookmyshow... how do you expect an artist to himself control such a huge crowd.. but he does sound so good even when scolding lol. Hope the issues didn't waste much of your time tho."
A netizen also cited the example of singer KK, who passed away due to cardiac arrest after performing at a concert in Kolkata, attributing it to poor management. "Again the same place, Kolkata... He had do it by himself because he knows what happened to KK due to this type of management & security... Everyone will have to do this here and everywhere while running the show for self-security," said the user.
