RS Prasanna's Sitaare Zameen Par starring Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in the lead roles was released on Friday. The film took a decent opening of Rs. 11.70 crore on its day one. The movie has received fantastic reviews and the word of mouth is also very good. So, of course, one can expect that Sitaare Zameen Par will show a jump at the box office on Saturday and Sunday.
Looking at the current trend, it looks like on its day 2, Sitaare Zameen Par might collect around Rs. 13-15 crore. However, if there's a huge jump during the evening and night shows, then the film can collect more than Rs. 15 crore on Saturday. The two-day collection can be around Rs. 23-25 crore, which is good.
If the film shows a good jump on Sunday, then we can expect that the three-day collection will be around Rs. 40-45 crore. Well, of course, it won't be a great number for an Aamir Khan film, but looking at the genre and the movie's theme, the collection will surely be good.

While the makers have not yet revealed what the film's budget is, according to some media reports, Sitaare Zameen Par is made on a budget of Rs. 80-90 crore. The collection of the film solely depends on the theatrical business because Aamir has not yet sold the movie to any OTT platform.
