Days after Aarti Ravi revealed she is struggling financially, her estranged husband, Tamil actor Ravi Mohan, accused her for physically, mentally, financially and emotionally 'abusing' him. He has made some shocking revelations about Aarti and also opened up about his relationship with rumoured girlfriend, singer Kenishaa Francis.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Thursday (May 15), Ravi shared his official statement which read, "As an adult and as a survivor of years of physical, mental, emotional, and severe financial abuse, (sad to add) I was also caged in isolation from even meeting my own parents through these years, trapped in a reality that became unbearable despite every sincere attempt to heal and save my marriage, I finally found the strength to walk away from a life that had become unlivable. Choosing to walk away was not a decision made lightly-And so, I write this to you with a heavy heart."
He further wrote, "I've already opened up to my family, my close friends, and my dearest fans who truly care about me regarding my decision to file for divorce. I made that choice with a genuine wish to protect everyone's privacy, including my estranged ex wife, and urged people not to speculate or assign blame."
The actor's statement further read, "But silence, it seems, is being mistaken for guilt. I now find myself being publicly vilified with false accusations that question not only my character but my role as a father based on recent public appearances. Let me be clear, I categorically deny these fabricated claims. I will continue to stand in my truth, as I always have-with dignity, with resilience, and with faith in justice."
Ravi also called his kids his 'eternal pride and happiness' and said, "I will do all things better than the best for the two boys I live my life for. And in any situation even smaller than mine, a strong woman would have held her head high and seen through all trials in the legal format as provided by our constitution and not play with the sympathies of everyone else, who hasn't been in both our shoes," she wrote, referring to Aarti's statement in which she accused him of negligence.

A few days back, Aarti had expressed disappointment over the alleged lack of support from Ravi, saying, “My divorce is still ongoing. But the man I once stood beside for 18 years - in love, loyalty and belief - has not just walked away from me, but from the very responsibilities he once promised to honour.”
She had also revealed the family is now facing home eviction, claiming the move has come at the direction of Ravi himself.
Back in September 2024, Ravi Mohan had confirmed the separation via a social media post, stating that the decision was mutual. However, Aarti later revealed that she was “blindsided” by the announcement, as were their sons.
