Actor Sahil Salathia was eliminated in the first episode of the reality show The Traitors after traitors Elnaaz Norouzi, Raj Kundra, and Purav Jha decided to 'kill' him. Days after the episode premiered on Amazon Prime Video, Sahil lashed out at his 'best friend' Elnaaz, expressing heartbreak over her betrayal and saying he never expected her to choose him over the 17 other contestants.
Sharing several videos on his Instagram handle, Sahil Salathia appeared visibly emotional as he said, "What did Elnaaz get after killing her best friend of 8 years in episode one, over 17 other contestants?" He added, "I know people will think this is dramatic—maybe I am a child, and I want to keep that child alive. If anyone else had eliminated me, I wouldn’t have been this hurt."

Sahil shared that at the trailer launch event of The Traitors, Elnaaz ignored him like he was an AIDS patient. Expressing disappointment, he said, "I wanted to be seen and you took that opportunity away from me. I don't know aapne kisko aise vaada diya tha ki aise dhokha dungi, ki log aapka hi naam yaad rakhenge. You have changed me as a person and how I look at people now."
He also revealed that he considered seeking therapy after Elnaaz's shocking betrayal. Sharing a screenshot of a conversation with a friend, Sahil was seen saying, "Do u think I should see a psychiatrist or a therapist? i have never considered this in life! Don't tell anybody other than got out in episode 1. I am feeling very unlucky and too broken. I will feel very embarrassed. Coz everyone will think i am not worth it or i must have not performed well. So, i was thrown out."
Sufi Motiwala, who is also a contestant on The Traitors commented, "Sahil, it’s just a game, ya. Wish you stayed longer but baby, it’s a game. Anyone would’ve had to take their friend out to build trust and you can clearly see that Raj and Purav overwhelm her and she’s denying it, baby. I’m so sorry; I want everyone to be friends."
In response, Sahil commented, "I never got an apology from her even after coming out of the show,sufi. In the video diary, she has laughed about taking me out which was between her and amazon, no remorse whatsoever. I shed a quiet tear watching it! My only plus point is my heart,not my fits and she broke my heart forever. But you are a cutie! Yeh loh gulaaab!"
