Shah Rukh Khan is dominating at the box office in 2023 after the success of Pathaan and Jawan. In a recent interview, Karan Johar revealed that King Khan was 'irritated' when the filmmaker was making Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

The film was released in 1998, starring Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, and Rani Mukerji in the lead roles. Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, Archana Puran Singh and Salman Khan were also a part of the movie.

In a chat with Be A Man Yaar with Nikhil Taneja, Johar stated that Shah Rukh 'hated love stories' as he only wanted to be in 'action films.' Further, Karan recalled how Shah Rukh did not want Aditya Chopra to make Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.

"He was irritated. I was making Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, but then when these films worked, he didn’t say anything because he was like, you know, ‘chadhte suraj ko salam’ (bow to the rising sun). If this love story is working, let’s go with it,” Karan added.

Meanwhile, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai completed 25 years since its release. On this special occasion, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan, and Rani Mukerji surprised fans by attending a special screening of their film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in Mumbai. However, Kajol could not be part of it.
