Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed after an unidentified man entered his house in Bandra, Mumbai, and attacked him during a robbery attempt in the wee hours of Thursday (January 16). The actor sustained six injuries, including one close to his spine, and a photo has now surfaced showing the piece of broken knife that was surgically removed from his back.
A team of doctors performed Saif's surgery at Lilavati Hospital in the early hours of Thursday during which the broken piece of knife, which was lodged close to the actor's spine, was removed. Doctors had earlier said that the actor's spinal fluid had leaked due to the attack, and he has now been advised bed rest for at least a week.

Saif Ali Khan was attacked around 2:30 am on Tuesday while he tried to protect his family from the intruder. As per the statement of one of the staff members of the household, the intruder entered the house from the couple's four-year-old son Jeh's bedroom and demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore by holding him and his caretaker hostage.

When Saif intervened, the intruder attacked him leaving him with six wounds, out of which two were deep wounds. The intruder reportedly also attacked one of the staff members while she was trying to get hold of him.
The prime suspect in the case was detained by the Mumbai Police on Friday morning, and he is now being interrogated in police custody.
The doctors at Lilavati Hospital reportedly said that Saif was brought to the hospital by his 8-year-old son, Taimur Ali Khan, and that the actor "walked in like a lion". He is expected to be discharged by the weekend.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan issued a statement on Thursday night, requesting privacy for the family. "It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage," she wrote.
