Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra in the wee hours of Thursday after an unidentified man reportedly broke in into their house. While the actor was rushed to the Lilavati Hospital at 3 am, visuals have surfaced showing a distressed Kareena Kapoor Khan speaking to their staff post the incident.
In the first visuals that surfaced online after the incident, Kareena can be spotted speaking to her staff in an animated manner inside her housing society complex. The actress can be seen in loose pyjamas and a t-shirt as she spoke to the people around. She can also be seen walking around restlessly in the videos.
Kareena was reportedly with her sister Karisma Kapoor, and friends Sonam Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor, when Saif was attacked. He was at their house with their sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.
According to the statement by the doctor, Saif was taken to the hospital at 3 am by his 8-year-old son Taimur and his caretaker. The actor has sustained six injuries, out of which two seem to be deep, and one is close to his spine.
As per India Today, Kareena rushed to Lilavati Hospital around 4:30 am, along with sister Karisma.
The attack took place at Satguru Sharan building in Bandra West, where Saif and Bebo reside with their sons. Reports stated that the robber first confronted Saif's maid and when the actor intervened to defuse the situation, the intruder became aggressive, resulting in a scuffle.
Post the incident, Saif's spokesperson issued an official statement which read, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan's residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter."
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police has formed eight teams to investigate the matter and they are currently interrogating the family staff, building's security and combing through the CCTV cameras. No arrests have been made so far.
