Actor Ravie Dubey has confirmed that he will play the role of Lakshman in Nitesh Tiwari's much-anticipated film Ramayana. While Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi will essay the role of Mata Sita in Nitesh Tiwari's highly ambitious project. In one of his recent interviews, Ravie, who has been a part of several popular daily soaps, praised co-star Ranbir and opened up about playing Lakshman.

During his recent interaction with Connect Cine, Ravie said that Ramayana is being made with a lot of earnestness and collective sincerity.

After confirming that he is a part of the film, Ravie was all praise for Ranbir. "This is my first time working alongside a megastar like Ranbir Kapoor and his kindness, empathy, silence and grace towards everyone… (is great). He has been working so hard but he will not come on set and make it look like that I am like this. Every time he is in front of camera, you will see he has been at it," he said.

Ravie added, "He is the only commercial, viable artist of this generation. He is the most graceful person I have come across, and I regard and love him like my own elder brother."

Ramayana Part 1 is all set to hit the big screens during Diwali 2026 and in Diwali 2027, the second part of the film will be released. The film's first poster has also been unveiled officially by the makers.

Besides Ranbir, Sai and Ravie, the upcoming film will star Yash as Raavan. Lara Dutta will portray Kaikeyi, Sunny Deol takes on the role of Hanuman, and Sheeba Chaddha will appear as Manthara.

Earlier this year, a leaked photo from the set showing Ranbir and Sai in full costume went viral on social media.
