Comedian Samay Raina's controversial India's Got Latent episode, featuring YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and social media influencer Apoorva Makhija among others, has been removed. Reportedly, YouTube blocked the episode in India after government's order.

Several social media users shared screenshots which shows that the video has ben pulled down from the platform.

"Video unavailable. This content is not available on this country domain due to a legal complaint from the government," the text on screen read.

Senior Advisor, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Kanchan Gupta took to her official X account on Tuesday (February 11) and wrote, "The episode on @YouTube with obscene and perverse comments by Ranveer Allahbadia has been blocked following Government of India orders."

On Monday, it was reported that the controversial segment was edited out just hours after the backlash. However, it has now been removed from Samay's channel, which has over 7.41 million subscribers.

For the unawares, the controversy began after Ranveer, Apoorva and Ashish appeared as guests in the latest episode of India's Got Latent, which is hosted by Samay. During the episode, Ranveer asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life — or would you join in once and stop it forever?" Apoorva and Samay were seen laughing at the supposed "joke".

This did not go down well with netizens, who slammed the show and the content creators for promoting vulgarity online. Later, Ranveer issued an apology, stating that there was a "lapse in judgement" on his part and added that comedy is not his forte.

Amid the controversy, Guwahati Police filed a case against Ranveer and four others on Monday. Another complaint was also filed in Mumbai.
