Youtuber Ranveer Allahbadia has gone incommunicado amid the ongoing India's Got Latent controversy, the Mumbai Police said on Friday. The Youtuber has multiple police complaints and FIRs against him, courtesy his objectionable "parents having sex" remark on Samay Raina's show.

The Mumbai Police told on Friday that Ranveer's phone was switched off and when they reached his residence in Versova, they found it locked.

Ranveer's lawyer can also not be reached, cops said.

Earlier this week, the Maharashtra Cyber Cell filed an FIR against Ranveer, Samay and others associated with India's Got Latent over the former's statement on the show. Ranveer appeared as a guest on the latest episode of India's Got Latent and asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?"

This did not go down well with netizens who slammed the show and the YouTuber for promoting obscenity and vulgarity online.

Not just in Maharashtra, but an FIR has also been registered against Ranveer, Samay and the other guests who appeared in the episode, including Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani, for spreading obscene material online.

Assam Police officials also reached Ranveer's residence on Friday, only to find it locked. On Thursday evening, the officials had visited Samay Raina's house in Pune to serve him a legal notice, but the comedian is currently in the US busy with his shows.

While Ranveer has apologised for his comments on India's Got Latent and Samay has taken down all episodes of the show from his YouTube channel, the public seems to be in no mood to spare them.

Ranveer also moved the Supreme Court seeking protection against multiple FIRs filed against him and asked the court to club the multiple FIRs. The apex court, however, denied the urgent hearing.
