With the birth of their little daughter Klin Kaara, earlier this year in June, every festivity and celebration in the Kamineni-Konidela household is only bound to multiply to infinity.

Indian star Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Kamineni rang in the festive spirit of Bathukamma in their Hyderabad residence. This time the occasion is all the more special as this is the first time the couple are celebrating the festivities with their little baby girl.

In a video shared by Upasana on her Instagram page, viewers can witness a first-hand account of the celebrations at the Konidela residence. What makes the event more special is the presence of little girls from a city-based orphanage by the name Balika Nilayam Seva Samaj, which observes the spirit of femininity and divinity.

Upasana captioned the video and shared, “People give me energy, my family gives me strength. On this auspicious day of Dussehra, let's ignite the Shakti within us to spread positivity and lead a life of meaning. Our Dussehra includes keeping my grandmother's tradition alive, which is to spread kindness and joy with our lovely family at Balika Nilayam Seva Samaj."

In the video, the philanthropist/entrepreneur is seen wearing a royal blue ethnic outfit, with minimal make-up and accessories. She is also seen concealing her daughter's face with her dupatta. Other members of the Konidela clan including Megastar Chiranjeevi are also seen engaging with the little girls present, while the elders of the family are seen distributing sarees to the young and aged women.

Upasana and Ram welcomed Klin Kaara on June 20, 2023. Right after her birth, fans of the Konidela family christened the new-born as Mega Princess. The Konidela family have another reason to celebrate in the days to come as actors Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi are all set to tie the knot in November at Tuscany, Italy.

What is Bathukamma?

For those who do not know, Bathukamma is the traditional festival of flowers observed during the festivities of Navratri-Dussehra in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Women and young girls dress up in their finest to observe and celebrate the divine feminine energy of Mother Earth. In literal translation, the festival means, 'Mother Earth, Come Alive!'. In recent pop culture, this festival was explored in a song from Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, starring Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde.

In the coming months, Ram Charan has S Shankar's Game Changer with Kiara Advani and Buchi Babu Sana's untitled next, on the work front.
