Radhika Apte made her first public appearance after giving birth as she attended the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) on February 16, 2025, at London's Royal Albert Hall. Hosted by David Tennant, the event saw Apte's film Sister Midnight nominated in the Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director, or Producer category.
After walking the red carpet, two months postpartum, the actress gave her fans a glimpse of her 'BAFTA’s reality' as she pumped breastmilk in the bathroom. In the candid moment, she was also seen holding a glass of champagne while posing for the photo.
In the caption, Radhika wrote, "And now my BAFTAs reality #breastfeeding #postpartum #breastpump."
"I have to thank Natasha @tashtash07 for making it possible for me to attend the BAFTAs. She scheduled the itinerary around my breast pumping timings. She not only accompanied me to the washroom to express milk but more importantly brought me champagne in the loo. It’s hard as is to be a new mum and work, this level of care and sensitivity is rare in our film industry and much appreciated," she added.

Reacting to the photo, actress Kalki Koechlin commented, "Hear hear we love those who actively help us through this insane early phase of motherhood."
Earlier today, Apte shared photos from the 78th BAFTA Awards, revealing that she was surviving on only 2 hours of sleep. "Sister Midnight at the BAFTAs. Big congratulations to @deathpunkbaby for the nomination. First big outing after birth.. 2 months postpartum.. 2 hours of sleep.. I couldn’t have done it without the fabulous people in the team. THANK YOU," wrote Apte.
In December 2024, Radhika announced the birth of her child with her husband, Benedict Taylor. While the gender of the baby was not officially announced, Apte's friend Sarah Afzal, whom she follows on Instagram, commented, "My best girls," confirming that the actress has welcomed a baby girl.
Radhika tied the knot to Benedict in 2012.
