Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has once again proven to be his actor-son Abhishek Bachchan's biggest supporter. On Wednesday (March 5), the 82-year-old megastar took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to respond to a post praising Abhishek's diverse filmography while addressing the 'nepotism negativity' he has faced.

The original post, shared by a user, featured Abhishek's red carpet video from a recent event in Mumbai. The caption of the post read, "Abhishek Bachchan unnecessarily became the victim of nepotism negativity, but the number of good films in his filmography is very high."

Reacting to this, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, "I feel the same .. and not just because I am his father."

His reply showed how proud he is of Abhishek's work, while also gently responding to the frequent criticism of his son's career.

Abhishek Bachchan, who made his acting debut in 2000 with Refugee, has carved his own niche in Bollywood. Despite being the son of legendary actors Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek has often been at the receiving end of comparisons and criticism, particularly from those who perceive his success through the lens of nepotism.

He is also frequently compared to his wife, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

However, over the years, Abhishek has showcased his versatility as an actor through critically acclaimed performances in films such as Guru, Yuva, Manmarziyaan, Paa, Bunty Aur Babli, Raavan, Bob Biswas, Happy New Year, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and more recently in web series and films like Breathe: Into the Shadows, Ghoomer and I Want To Talk.

Meanwhile, Abhishek will soon be seen in the upcoming film Be Happy, directed by Remo D'Souza. The dance drama reunites him with his Ludo child artist Inayat Verma, with the duo playing a father-daughter pair. The film also stars Nora Fatehi.

On the other hand, Big B is currently occupied with shooting for the popular TV reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati.
