Popular television actress Munmun Dutta, known for her role as Babita Iyer in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently rescued a severely injured street dog after a bike accident. The incident occurred in Mumbai when a biker ran over the animal, leaving it bleeding on the road with both front legs badly injured.
Without hesitation, Munmun stepped in to help. She ensured the dog received immediate medical care and has since been nursing her back to health.
On Sunday, Munmun posted pictures with the injured dog and gave her followers and fans an update on her recovery.
"Both her front legs were severely damaged because some rascal ran over her with his bike and left her bleeding. I am so happy to see it has started to heal nicely. It's going to be a long process, but thankfully, she's ALIVE," the actress wrote on her Instagram story.

"Her wound is so much better now. I'm glad she feels loved and comfortable with me and lets me treat her. Or else, itβs difficult to even touch her," Mummun added.

The actress has often expressed her love for animals, especially dogs, on social media.
Munmun started her career as a model before she ventured into television making her debut with 'Hum Sab Baraati Hai'. The actress gained fame after appearing on 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', where she played the role of Babita.
She has been associated with TMKOC since 2008. Besides, she has also starred in Kamal Haasan's 'Mumbai Xpress' and the 2006 film 'Holiday'.
