Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his family members will move out of their sea-facing Bandra residence, Mannat, very soon. Yes, you read that right. The Khan family will reportedly shift to lavish duplex apartments in Pali Hill which the actor recently leased.

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Mannat is set for a grand transformation, and that is the reason why SRK and his family members are relocating temporarily.

Starting this May, extensive renovation work will commence at the superstar's residence. Reportedly, the renovation is expected to take around two years. The revamped residence may include two additional floors, which were added to the Mannat annexe - an expansion for which SRK's wife, interior designer Gauri Khan, had sought approval from the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority in November 2024.

SRK rents two apartments in Pali Hill

During this period, the family will move to Pali Hill apartment. According to media reports, it was recently revealed that the actor leased four floors in a luxury apartment built by renowned Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani. For that, SRK is set to pay an annual rent of a whopping Rs 2.90 crore. The duplex apartments are located in the swanky Puja Casa building.

While Mannat revamp is underway, fans may be disappointed as they won't get to see SRK's signature appearances on the terrace, where he often greets them.

SRK will reportedly pay a monthly rent of Rs 24.15 lakh for both the apartments combined, and the annual rent thus amounts to Rs 2.90 crore. The lease agreements span a period of 36 months (three years). While one of the apartments is directly leased from Jackky Bhagnani, the other has been rented out jointly by Jackky and Deepshika Deshmukh.

Meanwhile, on the work front, SRK has been maintaining a low profile after a record-breaking year with three back to back hits in 2023. After a quiet 2024, the actor is now set to begin the shoot of his next, titled King.

The film was earlier supposed to be directed by Sujoy Ghosh, but now, SRK's Pathaan director Siddharth Anand will be helming it. The film reportedly also stars SRK's daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma and others, and will have a multi-villain arc.

While not much has been revealed about King yet, the film is expected to release in 2026.
