Telugu star Jr NTR is set to star in action-thriller War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. With the release just days away, a pre-release event was held in Hyderabad on Sunday (August 10), attended by the cast except Kiara Advani, who recently welcomed her baby girl with Sidharth Malhotra in July. At the event, Jr NTR praised Hrithik and shared how he initially had doubts about being accepted in Hindi cinema, coming from the South.
Jr NTR Recalls Doubts About Being Accepted In Bollywood
Jr NTR said, "I come from South India, and thanks to SS Rajamouli for erasing many boundaries between South and North, which are just films. But every South Indian has a doubt: 'Kya accept karenge yeh log?' Thank you for accepting me with wide and open arms, and for that beautiful hug you gave me on the first day. This is not a movie about NTR going into Hindi cinema, but Hrithik equally coming into Telugu cinema."
Further, the actor shared that he has learned a lot from Hrithik and often sees himself in him. Jr NTR added that the seventy-five days of working together taught him so much, and he can’t wait to get back on set with him.
Jr NTR Praises Ayan Mukerji
Jr NTR lauded War 2 director Ayan Mukerji, stating that there could be no better director in the country to helm the film. He said Ayan was the only choice and will be remembered for directing one of the greatest films of our times, War 2.
"Ayan has spent sleepless nights carving this visual extravaganza. Thank you for being a guiding force. As I promised you, 2025 will have another blockbuster from this country, and his name is going to be Ayan Mukerji," added Jr NTR.
War 2 is set to release on Independence Day, August 14, alongside Rajinikanth’s Coolie, setting up a major box office clash between the two big films.
